A church for anyone

Intrepid is a church for anyone. We are a church that is fun, real, and wants to make a difference in your life and in our community.

Intrepid is all about relationships. We focus on loving God and our neighbors. Our goal is to follow Jesus, which leads to a life of adventure.

You can explore our website for more about what we believe and how you can be involved. You can also find out about our staff below.

james Floyd

lead pastor

As Lead Pastor, James is responsible for the overall vision and direction of Intrepid, and does most of the speaking at our gatherings. James did not grow up in a Christian family, so he knows what it's like to feel nervous about going to a church - he didn't get the inside jokes or jargon used at many churches either, so you won't hear that stuff at Intrepid. James has used his experience in various ministries over the years to help teens and adults discover that they are loved by God.

Some other random facts about James:

  • From Anaheim, CA and a few other cities in North Orange County
  • Served in the Army for four years and has the spontaneous tattoos to prove it
  • Graduated from Azusa Pacific University
  • Married to Kristy, with two children
  • Volunteer Chaplain at the Tom Taylor Family YMCA in Gig Harbor
  • Loves to sing karaoke --- maybe a little too much
  • Seahawks fan since 2001 (pre-bandwagon)
